The Gilded Beetle's Essential Wardrobe: Tops Edition

Sorry for the late post! You know how homework can immediately get out of hand if you don't keep up with it! Haha. These past few weeks have been filled with an exorbitant amounts of stress, accumulating in a giant pool of terribleness. As always, Russian is just stressful. However, I won't neglect this blog much longer!

While I was cleaning out my closet, I wondered if there was such a thing as an essential wardrobe. I mean, everyone and their dog has some idea of their go-to wardrobe. As I threw out my old and tattered things, I thought and thought and thought. Is an essential wardrobe even universal?

In my complicated mind, I finally produced something: The Gilded Beetle's Essential Wardrobe!

Cloud Atlas: Sonmi 541

Hey guys! Sorry, I'm gearing up for the new semester, so things might be a little slow around here. I have some tutorials coming up, so I'll get on that as soon as possible. Thanks for bearing with me!

Today's post is just a little blurb about Sonmi 541 from Cloud Atlas. If you haven't seen the movie yet, I highly recommend it. It was also a book before a movie, so check it out also! 

Cloud Atlas features six interwoven story lines. Sonmi, is played by Doona Bae and hails from the 5th storyline, taking place in future Neo Seoul. She drives some of the most introspective and gripping narratives in the movie.

Even though I'm late to the party, I can't help but let my jaw drop at Donna Karan's ready-to-wear 2012 fall-winter collection. The looks are reminiscent of multiple eras (the 1920's to the 1940's) and bring a heavy hand of masculinity to the fitted and curved shape of the clothing.

Happy New Year!

And so the first day of the new year came to an end. Happy new year and all that jazz! I partied, ate, and now I sigh as the dawn of the new semester appears over the horizon. Now, I can think about are new years resolutions! I can never really stick to them but here's my own list to get you motivated!
